My interest in art goes back as far as I can remember. My particular interest in drawing and painting portraits dates back to pencil drawings I did of my entire Montessori 6th grade cohort for my final elementary school project. I also painted portraits of my two teachers as parting gifts. I carried this interest forward in classes taken at the local museum’s art school, local studio classes and my AP Art class. I am self-taught in digital portraiture utilizing Apple’s Procreate Program. This summer, I participated in a month-long Art Intensive program with faculty and staff at the University of Texas at Austin. In Spring 2020 I won two regional Scholastic Art awards for oil and digital portraits which I had created of my favorite singer, Halsey.
Below are some examples of the art which I have created in the last several years.
